International Women’s Day

Today is International Women’s Day! So let’s hear what women at qutools have to say:

Slava, Productmanager and graduated in quantumphysics
The 8th of March has a revolutionary origin and from my childhood in Bulgaria I remember it as Mother’s Day. With my work as productmanager of the Quantenkoffer, I would like to enable any girl to be part of the next quantum revolution. At the same time, I think it is important that every woman can freely choose where her passion lies. This also includes a healthy work-life-balance to not having to decide between career or family. Educating (young) women in science is an important step towards this balance and I am glad to be a part of this movement. Happy International Women’s Day!

Mara, Marketing and Sales and not a scientist at all
I love working in an environment that is buzzing with ideas and concepts that will truly shape our future. Without a degree in Physics or any other STEM-related education, I am happy every day that in my role, I still found a way to contribute to science that has a direct impact on the everyday life of us all. Especially closing the gap between both genders, seeing men and women together at the same table passionately discussing a certain theorem of quantumphysics, is something I truly enjoy. To equality and women that thrive!

Mateja, graduate student in quantum photonics
Being a woman never really held me back. I was always impressed by technology and never thought about the fact that this might not be „a girl thing to do“. So, here I am understanding and connecting things, always doing my best to create something new and learn more about what surrounds me. To every woman reading this, I would like to tell you: Don’t think about it too much. Just go out there and start!
